The Peak 2 Peak Gondola opened up this morning (December 12, 2008) at 11:00:01 AM, Whistler Time. The weather was foggy, but the ride was smooth. The VIP\\\\\\\'s that attended the event were:

The Gondola will now run daily from 9:00 am to 5:00pm. The gondola will be closed for scheduled maintenance from April 27 to June 5, 2009. The lift will re-open for summer operations on June 6, 2009. Up and downloading access on Blackcomb will resume June 20, 2009.

ATTN: The Sky Cabins are pulled off the line in both the Whistler and Blackcomb terminals EVERY night after service ends due to high winds.
